I wanted to start a new series where I show multiple ways to style one item! Not only can this hopefully give you some new ideas, but also help to make your closet more sustainable. Lets be real – no one only wears an outfit once.
For my first style item, I decided to go with a simple casual maxi dress. Casual dresses are so easy to throw on and go without worrying about putting together a whole outfit – simply changing the shoes can change your look. This particular dress is an affordable Amazon find. It comes in many colors but I chose this neutral tie dye for a more boho look.
Option #1 – Dress and Booties
You can easily transition a dress from summer to fall (or spring) by swapping your sandals for booties. Add a matching hat and you can really channel a boho vibe. Note: Linking similar booties, but these are from Lucy Ave Boutique and no longer available!
Option #2 – Jean Jacket
Can’t go wrong by throwing on a jean jacket, especially once the sun goes down and the temperature drops. This dress would also look great with a black jean jacket. This specific jacket is from Zara, but similar are linked!
Option #3 – Long Cardigan
Throwing a long fuzzy cardigan on top adds a bit of warmth for cooler weather. I stuck with all neutral tones but you could also switch it up for a pop of color. Note: This cardigan is from Lucky Brand and no longer in stock, but similar are linked!
Option #4 – Tied Up T-shirt
Last but not least, add a t-shirt on top! Because this dress has sleeves, you’ll need a slightly oversized t-shirt for this look. But, on a tank dress, this look is even easier. I went for a plain white tee that I knotted, but you could also go with a graphic tee (I linked one of my favorites)!
